Addiction has an effect on all members of the family and they suffer from and contribute to the problem in a variety of ways. Marin Drug Recovery believes it is essential that the family members are included in the treatment for overall success. Often times the addict is able to hide their actual use from family members, but not the accompanying devastation. Marriages often suffer greatly as a result of drugs and alcohol and rebuilding the lost trust, respect and intimacy is a vital path to recovery.
